Home Business To Successful Salon
1991Nails & Beauty with Attitude started when Ange was introduced to a new company "Neways Australia". They have an excellent gel nail system, which Ange started using and still is today. Ange developed a natural flair for nail artistry and soon had a number of clients, Ange at that time worked from home.
(Ange has gone on to be a level 2 Teacher of gel nails and at times conducts certified gel nail courses.)
1993
Ange started working from a rented space in a Hair Salon in Earlville, Cairns, along with her sister Sharwin.
1994
With clientele growing, Nails with Attitude moved to its own salon in the Woree Plaza complex, on Toogood Rd, Woree, Cairns. This first shop was only 50m2, their services where mainly nails with a small amount of waxing and tinting, back then there was only 1 treatment room and 2 nail tables.
From 1994 on Nails with Attitude employed 2 nail technicians/beauty therapists, and was then able to offer clients expanded services in beauty therapy. Which brought about the change to our name to what it is today, "Nails & Beauty with Attitude". This name change reflects the fact that Nails & Beauty with Attitude, does both nail artistry and beauty therapy.
1998
In October, Nails & Beauty with Attitude, moved into a bigger shop in the WOREE PLAZA, around 85m2, they were able to expand their services, now having 4 beauty rooms and a 3 client nail bar.
1999
Ange had to cut back on her workload because of falling pregnant. Then in July, Paris was born. Ange has been able to get back into working at the salon since the beginning of 2001.
2002
A Bottle Shop bought the area we were occupying, so we moved next door into a beautiful, new and well appointed salon, in June of 2002.
2003
In December we repainted some of the salon to give it a revamp. It looks even more beautiful! Also we now have a 4 seater "Nail Bar".
2005
Because of rain leaking into the salon in early December we did our annual spruce up of the salon a few weeks earlier than usual.
We repainted the blue wall in the lounge area lime green. We repainted door frames, skirting boards, walls and shelves.
2007
July
Andrew and Angeline changed their business structure from a partnership to a company. Nails & Beauty With Attitude is now owned by, APA Marketing P/L ATF Griggs Family Trust T/A Nails & Beauty With Attitude.
September
The office was moved out of the salon in September and moved to Andrew & Angeline's home.
The old office was renovated and is now the new "Blue Room", it is used mainly for body treatments i.e. Body Shaping Machine, Vibrosaun & Spray Tanning.
